Our Involvement with Farmington, CT Community and Beyond
Every September, Johndrow Wealth Management of Farmington River Financial Group® hosts its annual shredding and food drive event. Mobile shredding trucks arrive at our office early in the morning and clients along with the local community are invited to come and securely destroy their confidential documents.
Thank you to our partners at FileShred for providing secure disposal of our documents and to everyone that joined us and donated! In 2017, 102 lbs. of food was donated to the Farmington Food Pantry's to support those in need. We also recycled 2,000 lbs of paper, which equates to saving 17 trees!
Enjoy our video of highlights from the event and our photos below!

Johndrow Wealth Mangement of Farmington River Financial Group® Proudly Sponsors the Petit Famliy Road Race
We are a proud sponsor of the Petit Family Foundation 5K road race. Our clients, friends, and family created a team of 30 people to participate in the 1.3 mile walk and 5K run. Dr. William Petit established the Petit Family Foundation in remembrance of his family, Jennifer Hawke-Petit, Hayley Elizabeth Petit, and Michaela Rose Petit. The Foundation provides scholarships to girls interested in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Being a female-owned firm, we hope that these scholarships encourage more women to enter the field of finance! Those that stopped by our booth enjoyed sunscreen, granola bars, and raffle entry for a change to win a bag filled with fitness items. Please enjoy all the photos on our past events page by clicking here. You can also catch a glimpse of our walking team in this news segment!
We invite you to join our team for the 2018 race on Sunday, July 22nd!

Miss Porter's School- Financial Literacy Seminar & Alumnae Board of Directors
Associate Financial Advisor Magdalena G. Johndrow serves on the Miss Porter's School Alumnae Board of Directors. In addition, Miss Porter's asked Maggie to lead a Financial Literacy Seminar for seniors. Maggie spoke on personal finance including student loans, credit cards, and budgeting. The young women were so impressive and asked insightful questions, even about investing! We hope we may inspire more women to pursue economics and finance!

Our Involvement in Other Communities
Johndrow Wealth Management's staff donates its personal time throughout the year to support many charitable organizations in their hometown communities. Some of the organizations that have benefitted from our employees and their families being actively involved are Boy Scout Troop 16, Mattebesst FFA, Middletown High School Band, Miss Porter's School, St. Pius X Parish, The Junior League of Hartford, and the Connecticut Money School.
In addition to supporting our hometown communities, we are proud to support Commonwealth Financial Network® in their giving back initiative. During the 2016 National Conference in Austin Texas, Lori and David Johndrow participated in a volunteer opportunity at the Dougherty Arts Center in downtown Austin. The group spent it's time painting and refreshing the center for the local artists.
