Market Update with Dr. David Kelly
As many of our clients know, we enjoy hearing economic insight from JP Morgan's Chief Market Strategist, Dr. David Kelly. We were delighted to hear that Dr. Kelly joined us at The Delamar Hotel in West Hartford, CT on February 6th to provide his views on the economy and markets in-person! We are looking forward to sharing the wonderful knowledge we received from Dr. Kelly with our clients!
"Beer Money Trivia Night"
Our financial Advisor, Maggie Johndrow co-hosted "Beer Money Trivia Night" with our strategic partner Lou Dimeo at Movement Mortgage on January 31st.
Held at Hog River Brewing Co. with pizza from Joey's Pizza Pie, the event supported local Hartford businesses. Approximately 40 people joined Maggie and Lou for a night of classic trivia with financial tips sprinkled in between. Maggie and Lou busted popular myths on: interest and mortgage rates, stock markets and real estate investments, life insurance, retirement savings, and renovation loans.
Congratulations to 1st place trivia winner, "Go Pack Go" and 2nd place trivia winner "Three Musketeers."
Those who attended and brought a guest were entered into a raffle to win a Sharpe 42" Smart TV! Congratulations to our winner, Sabrina!
Financial Literacy Seminar- Miss Porter's School
Financial Advisor Maggie Johndrow was asked to return to her alma mater Miss Porter's School to lead a financial literacy seminar for the senior class on January 16th. Maggie spoke on budgeting, student loans, and credit cards. Maggie was amazed at the profound questions the young women asked and even found them to be interested in investing! Given that FRFG is a woman-owned firm, we encourage other young women to persue math, economics, and finance!
Junior League Volunteer
On January 31st financial advisor Maggie Johndrow volunteered with the Junior League at Hartford's Junior Achievement. Approximately 20 high-school aged girls attended a "Personal Branding" seminar led by other members in Junior Achievement. Maggie helped run a pop-up shop to help the young women "dress for success."
